An uncommon subject in the editorial landscape, Collecting Tombs presents a valuable photographic archive on funerary art from the 19th century to the present day. The work draws on the collection of cemetery images of the artist and collector André Chabot. For around fifty years, the latter has drawn up a meticulous inventory of tombs, sculptures, sepulchral chapels and other catacombs, photographed in more than seventy countries.
